ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

• Meet with internal users to understand business needs or problem statements.
• Create a list of requirements and objectives.
• Conduct technical analysis and assemble a list of possible solutions.
• Work closely with IT supervision and the technical team to vet the feasibility of solutions.
• Present proposed solutions to users and secure buy-in.
• Collaborate with IT supervision and the IT PMO team to create project plans and schedules.
• Develop, program, or configure technical solutions following IT standards and best practices.
• Conduct and oversee all testing phases.
• Create technical and user documentation.
• Train users as required.
• Troubleshoot software and applications.
• Provide off-hours phone support on a rotation basis.
• Define and resolve system performance issues.
• Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.
• Adhere to IT change management processes.
• Handle special projects as directed by IT leadership.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience/education.
• Professional experience as an Analyst/Programmer.
• Experience in developing solutions using COBOL and JCL.
• Preferred experience with IMS DB/DC, mainframe utilities like IEBGENER, SORT, FileAid, IDCAMS.
• Experience supporting mainframe applications in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience with Windows-based applications interfacing with mainframe systems is preferred.
• Effective collaboration skills in a development environment.
• Positive customer service attitude.
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to review, optimize, analyze, and develop systems and software packages.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Ability to collaborate across groups to develop solutions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work primarily in an office setting with good lighting. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Regularly sit, use hands, handle objects, talk, and hear. Must be able to walk to yard locations. Moderate noise level.

PAY SCALE

71,200 - $174,100
