About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Collections and Curatorial Affairs Officer (CCCA) to join its senior leadership team. The CCCA will be responsible for shaping and advancing the artistic vision of the institution, with a focus on strategic planning for exhibitions, installations, and interpretation. This role requires a deep commitment to the mission of the museum, including fostering connections between art and diverse communities. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the care and stewardship of the collection, and will be instrumental in promoting digital transformation and innovative content delivery to enhance the visitor experience. Collaboration with the Executive Director, CFO/COO, and other departments is essential, as is active engagement with the local and global arts community. Candidates for the CCCA position should have an advanced degree in a relevant field or commensurate experience, and a proven track record in museum-based curatorial and collections management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art history, a record of scholarly work, and experience in project management related to collection stewardship and conservation. Strategic leadership, management acumen, and a passion for the visual arts are key attributes. The CCCA must be adept at building and leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and making decisions that align with the strategic objectives of the museum. A high level of cross-cultural competency and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders are also essential.
