\n \n\n \nThe community you'll be caring for:
\n \n\n \n\nThe role you'll contribute:
\n \n\n \nInterprets provider orders and prescriptions, compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines and professional standards. Consults with patients and others as required regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions. Provides drug information to patients, health care workers and others as necessary. Ability to provide oversight and supervision of pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff including directing work flow and assurance of completion of duties. Demonstrate clinical expertise in area of practice.

\n \n\n \nInterprets prescription and medication orders completely and accurately and completes the necessary steps for clarification and validation for safe and effective patient care in compliance with state/federal rules and regulations.
\n \n\n \nDemonstrates professional judgment in advising and counseling patients and healthcare team.
\n \n\n \nMonitors drug utilization information and detects potential drug interactions, overlaps, over and under dosing and other unique situations.
\n \n\n \nParticipates in Code Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use.
\n \n\n \nOversight and supervision of pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff including directing work flow and assurance of completion of duties.
\n \n\n \nDemonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to safe and accurate compounding, meeting all current regulatory and record keeping requirements.
\n \n\n \nMaintains accurate and complete records and files, as prescribed by law, of all dispensing transactions of legend and controlled drugs, including wholesale transactions. Is competent and efficient using department specific methods in maintaining these records.
\n \n\n \nDemonstrates an acceptable level of speed and accuracy as relates to routine processing functions.
\n \n\n \nCommunicates clearly and completely all special situations, problems or instructions in order to facilitate appropriate resolutions.
\n \n\n \nThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
\n \n\n \nMinimum qualifications :
\n \n\n \nBachelors Degree, prefers PharmD
\n \n\n \nLicensed Texas Pharmacist
\n \n\n \nInpatient pharmacy experience
