Job Description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to support the organization’s security operations. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience in security tools and platforms such as Case Management systems, EDR solutions, SIEM tools, and Splunk. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, an eagerness to learn, and a proactive attitude toward cybersecurity threats and incident handling. Responsibilities: Monitor and respond to alerts in the SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platform Assist in managing and tracking cases using a Case Management system Support the triage and investigation of endpoint security events using EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) tools Analyze security data using Splunk for trends, anomalies, and indicators of compromise Work with senior team members to escalate and resolve potential security incidents Maintain accurate documentation of findings and resolutions Qualifications: 1–2 years of experience with: Case Management systems EDR solutions SIEM platforms Splunk Strong interest in cybersecurity and threat detection Basic knowledge of network protocols, threat landscapes, and security best practices Ability to work in a team and communicate technical concepts clearly Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred Preferred Certifications (a plus but not required): CompTIA Security+ Splunk Core Certified User GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) Seniority level Seniority level Associate Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Strategic Staffing Solutions by 2x Get notified about new Cyber Security Analyst jobs in Charlotte, NC .
