DIVERSITY SCHOLARS FELLOW – ART, ART HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE Location: Ithaca, NY, United States Position Summary: The Provost’s Office at Ithaca College invites applications for Diversity Scholars Predoctoral Fellowships for the academic year 2026–2027. Scholars will receive a stipend, travel support, relocation reimbursement, office space, health benefits, access to libraries, and teaching responsibilities. Responsibilities Teach one course in the fall semester and one course in the spring semester; receive teaching-focused mentoring and professional development by senior faculty; participate in one official function per semester; complete an exit interview. Qualifications Enrolled in an accredited Ph.D. program leading to a doctoral degree at a U.S. institution. Evidence of a commitment to a career in teaching at the college or university level; dedication to equitable classroom practices. Scholarly agenda and research agenda with a timeline for finishing the dissertation. Authorized to work in the United States. Advance to candidacy at home institution by August 15, 2026, with an approved dissertation proposal. Last year of dissertation writing preferred; not completed most writing at beginning of fellowship year.
