Requirements Each level skill includes the preceding levels.
Level 1 - Experienced welder in structural welding. Able to perform basic takeoffs from supplied drawings or plans. Can build from simple plans and knows basic welding symbols. Helps train less experienced members of the team. Uses experience to contribute to the success of the company.
Level 2 - Competently skilled on all fabrication-type equipment. Can work independently with very little supervision. Helps train less experienced members of the team. Key for the success of the team goals.
- Attendance, Shift Punctuality
- Math skills including arithmetic, trigonometry, and geometry
- Precise and accurate production: reviews shop drawings / blueprints / instructions, measures accurately and precisely, and verifies material before operation
- Welding certifications and formal training
- Ability to use tape measure
- Ability to operate weld machines, forklifts, and overhead lifting equipment
- Safety conscious attitude concerning all aspects of work: yourself, your equipment, and your surroundings
- Fluent in written and spoken English, bilingual preferred
