About the Company
Assure the effective functioning of a facility, to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities, by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of a multi-unit restaurant company. This position reports to the Director of Facilities.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Follow the facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements established by Director of Facilities
- Interact with Work Order platform facility service representative (FSR)
- Be the friendly face for Operations, Area Managers, and General Managers when facility needs pop up.
- Manage and maintain project service requests/work orders. Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers through 3rd party service platform utilized by the company.
- Maintain Service Line Agreements with Vendors and Locations via ETA management. Maintain Priority levels established.
- Be familiar with maintenance and repairs of facilities. Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, plumbing and equipment used within the location.
- Process quotes and requests from vendors and suppliers up to established approval limits directed by Director of Facilities and CFO.
- Calculate and compare costs of repair versus replacement for services to maximize cost-effectiveness and warranty effectiveness.
- Understand and execute replacement contracts to optimize delivery and cost savings in a planned program. Ensure delivery of schedules, ensure quantity and quality criteria are met.
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships established by Dir. Of Facilities
- Spot check completed work by contractors and vendors
- Participate in quarterly business reviews with reports generated from the work order platform, Director of Facilities and Accounting
- Follow up afterhours calls next business day for schedule and ETA establishment.
- Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants, Dir of Facilities, Accounting.
- Some after hours and weekend work will be required.
- Travel up to 25% (yes, you’ll get to see our restaurant family in action).
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of facility operations within a restaurant
- Bachelor’s degree, such as project management, business management or construction management or equivalent experience of at least 3 years in a similar roll.
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration
- Working knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Working knowledge of Plumbing, Refrigeration, Electrical and Mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of procurement and contracts
- Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
- Supervisory experience
- Solid computer and systems knowledge, particularly within the Microsoft suite of business solutions.
