To support continued growth, we are seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead a federal facilities maintenance contract with the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Position Overview

We are hiring a Project Manager to support facilities operations at the NIH Bethesda campus under the Division of Facilities Operations & Maintenance (DFOM). This position is remote-first, with occasional travel for site meetings, inspections, and coordination.

The PM will oversee daily work order execution, ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols, and serve as the primary liaison with NIH personnel. This role requires strong project leadership, familiarity with federal contracting, and the ability to manage distributed maintenance teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of restroom maintenance and lamping & egress lighting work
• Track and close out work orders in Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS – Nuvolo)
• Monitor contractor FTE performance and verify appropriate labor allocation
• Assign and prioritize work orders for field technicians
• Coordinate safety compliance, mobilization, and training efforts
• Participate in regular meetings with the COR and Facility Manager
• Submit weekly/monthly performance reports
• Monitor KPIs, including response times and ITM (Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance) metrics
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, CSAP, EM 385-1-1, and NIH safety standards
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the NIH, escalating issues and coordinating resources

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or operations
• Knowledge of federal contracting and firm-fixed-price (FFP) project delivery
• Experience managing remote or multi-skilled maintenance teams
• Familiarity with IWMS platforms (Nuvolo preferred)
• Experience implementing or following site-specific safety plans in line with EM 385-1-1
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel to the NIH campus as required
• Must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation
• Active or prior federal clearance (Public Trust or higher) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or related project management certification
• Experience supporting hospital, laboratory, or research facilities
• Prior federal contract experience, including 8(a) or IDIQ projects
• OSHA 30, USACE QCM, or EM 385-1-1 certification
