Cleaning offices, conference rooms, hallways, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning Polishing and detailing stainless steel Various floor work to include stripping and waxing, buffing, and sealing floors QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Required (Minimum) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1 year of previous janitorial and/or housekeeping experience The ability to obtain and maintain access to a Federal Government Site and to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics The ability to provide excellent janitorial and/or housekeeping services The ability to be able to effectively communicate and work with a variety of people including, but not limited to, the public, government employees, and other contractors as needed. The ability to report to work on-time and report regularly Other duties as assigned NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job is performed in an office setting / maintenance room with exposure to computer screens and HVAC / electrical equipment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervising responsibilities are not a requirement of this position. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
