Real Estate Analyst

Hanover is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a Real Estate Analyst position in the Capital Markets Department. The Real Estate Analyst role provides an opportunity to work with a talented, close-knit team, in addition to frequent interaction with Hanover's development, construction, legal, property management, and asset management departments. This position will be primarily responsible for evaluating new multifamily and industrial development opportunities across the United States through market research and analysis. Once an opportunity has been identified, this person will manage the preparation of marketing materials to engage potential third-party equity partners and will actively participate in internal committee meetings with Hanover's senior leadership.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assess market fundamentals and feasibility of new development opportunities.
• Prepare market analysis such as rent comparables, asset sales comparables, supply pipelines, etc.
• Underwrite new development opportunities using Hanover's financial model in Microsoft Excel.
• Participate in market/product tours, as well as relevant conferences.
• Prepare marketing materials, which include relevant analysis and research-based findings.
• Assist in the management of Hanover's third-party equity relationships.
• Participate actively in Investment Committee Meetings and maintain a high level of interaction with all levels of management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Possess strong problem-solving skills with an ability to take initiative and think independently
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Possess analytical, and creative thinking skills
• Must be well organized and able to multi-task with limited supervision while adhering to deadlines and maintaining accuracy
• Interest in learning about real estate
