Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies and support plans.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress and counseling activities.
• Facilitate workshops or classroom guidance sessions focused on topics such as conflict resolution, stress management, and career readiness.
• Assist students in crisis, coordinating with external agencies as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Relevant counseling certification or licensure applicable to school settings.
• Experience working with K-12 students in educational or clinical environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff.
• Knowledge of developmental psychology and common adolescent issues.

Location:This position is based in Somerville, MA, providing service to a comprehensive K-12 school community.

Contract Details:The role is offered on a contractual basis, allowing for focused support aligned with the academic calendar.
