Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager & Sales Assistant for Small Engine Repair Center to lead our service department and support small engine repair operations. The ideal candidate will possess dealership experience, automotive service management skills, and a strong background in pressure washer diagnostics and repairs. This role involves overseeing daily service operations, ordering parts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and ensure repairs are turning over at a timely pace. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on quality service and team leadership.

Duties

• Manage daily operations of the service department, including workflow, and customer interactions
• Supervise and support technicians in performing automotive repairs, diagnostics, and small engine repairs
• Oversee pressure washer maintenance tasks such as oil changes, parts replacement and overall repairs are completed.
• Assist with service writing, pressure washer estimating, and upselling additional services or repairs to customers
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining repair procedures clearly
• Support small engine repair activities including troubleshooting and mechanical repairs for lawn equipment or similar machinery
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment conducive to efficient operations

Skills

• Proven dealership experience with auto service management or automotive repair background
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles including diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, and auto body repair
• Skilled in automotive diagnostics, auto estimating, and service writing
• Experience with transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire services, alignment, and diesel engine repair
• Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer trust
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on communication and problem-solving
• Familiarity with maintenance procedures and mechanically inclined
• Strong leadership abilities to supervise technicians and coordinate workflow
