Job Description

A K-12 educational setting in Mooresville, NC, is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students throughout the current school year on a contract basis. This role requires clear and effective communication between hearing-impaired students and educators, ensuring accessibility and inclusion in all classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and fluent sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and events.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and families.
• Adapt interpretation style to various educational activities and age groups.
• Collaborate with educational teams to support individualized learning plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting skills.
