Job Title:  Transportation Safety Manager – OTR Trucking | $70K–$90K | Home Daily

Location : Owatonna, MN

Pay : $70,000–$90,000 per year (based on experience)

About the Role:

We’re hiring a Transportation Safety Manager to lead the safety program for our Over-the-Road (OTR) trucking operations. This role is critical to keeping our drivers safe, our equipment moving, and our company compliant. What You’ll Do:

• Manage compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and state transportation regulations

• Lead driver onboarding, orientation, and safety training

• Monitor ELD data, driver logs, and hours-of-service compliance

• Oversee accident investigations, implement safety improvements

• Conduct random/post-accident drug testing

• Audit maintenance logs, safety files, and inspection reports

• Track and report on CSA scores, violations, and safety KPIs

• Lead monthly safety meetings and coordinate annual training

• Work with dispatch and operations to resolve safety concerns

• Serve as point of contact for DOT audits, insurance reviews, and claims

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years in transportation safety management (required)

• Strong working knowledge of DOT & FMCSA regulations

• Experience with driver training, ELD systems, and safety audits

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• CDL or OTR experience (a plus but not required)

• Safety certifications (CDS, NATMI, etc.) are a plus
