HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Los Angeles, California.

Job Description & Requirements

RN- RN MS/Tele Float | Night 3x12-Hour (7PM - 7AM)

Location: 1225 Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90017

 

Requirements:

• 13 weeks contract
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required.
• May float to Med-Surg
• Experience level is med-surg and telemetry with a 1:5 nurse to patient med-surg ratio.
• Competencies must be consistent with medical-surgical and telemetry patient care needs and should be rated 3 or greater.
• Certs REQ: ACLS, BLS & NIHSS
• CA state license
• EPIC experience required
• Patient ratio- 1:4

Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills:

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Telemetry - on the unit monitoring
• Telemetry - remote monitoring
• Use of Rapid Response Teamm

Required Cardiovascular skills:

• Post Cardiac Angiogram
• Post MI
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
• Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery

Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills:

• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management
• PICC line management
• Starting IVs

Required Medication skills:

• Heparin Protocols
• Manage Cardiac drips- no titration
• Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration

Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills:

• Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac
• External CPAP/BIPAP
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Nasal Cannula
• Non-invasive airway management
• Oxygen face masks
• Tracheostomy Management
