EDM Operator

We are seeking a skilled EDM Operator to join our dynamic team. The role involves operating advanced electro-discharge machines (EDM) and ensuring the production of high-quality turbine engine aerospace parts. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility with custom-built EDM machines designed to meet the highest industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Load and set up parts in the machine for processing.
• Inspect parts to ensure quality throughout the production process.
• Set up and operate EDM machines, including conventional, 5-axis, water-based, oil-based, or wire EDMs.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings for precise machining.
• Troubleshoot and fix defects in machinery.
• Prepare logs and records to document machine operation and daily production.
• Set up and switch jobs as necessary, with training provided.
• Maintain a production efficiency of more than 98% daily.

Essential Skills:

• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• CNC or metal machine operation experience.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other measurement devices.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Aerospace experience is a plus.
• Previous EDM experience is advantageous.

Work Environment:

You will work in a production facility with over 150 EDM machines, with most areas being temperature-controlled. The role requires working in confined spaces and frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment may be loud, and employees must use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
